Niko leads the way with 100 years of expertise in revolutionary home solutions
Electronics company Niko celebrated its 100 year anniversary of providing practical solutions for homes on September 7 with a big bash for employees and key partners.
It is also holding a public exhibition at its head office in Sint-Niklaas, Belgium to mark the occasion. The exhibition takes visitors through the history of the company and provides interactive exhibits that allow visitors to participate and think about the future of living and working.
Founded in 1919, Niko was established after World War I and designed and manufactured switches and socket outlets that quickly became a household product. It was the introduction of the Inter 70 luxury switch in 1965 that propelled the company to the international market.
Throughout the years, Niko has evolved in its innovation and design of its products through extensive research.
Sustainability is a key consideration for Niko as well, from the start of its design process of its products to environmentally-friendly production where all plastic is reused.
Today, Niko’s smart home control products are the latest in modern technology, giving the user control of all home products from lighting and ventilation to cooling on a smartphone or tablet.
