Leading Vietnamese pharmaceutical and cosmetics manufacturer engages Boydens Engineering once again
Boydens Engineering’s successful track record in Vietnam has led to a new win for the company.
Sao Thai Duong, an established manufacturer of herb-based pharmaceuticals, cosmetics and functional foods, has engaged Boydens Engineering to provide MEPF (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing and Fire fighting) design services for its new production site.
Established in 2000, Sao Thai Duong’s products are household names throughout Vietnam and its rapid growth has led to the need for a new five-storey factory, which will comprise 112,381 sq m of offices, manufacturing areas, warehouses, laboratories, showrooms and workshop space.
The factory is expected to produce a volume of 100,000,000 items per year including high-tech pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, probiotics, functional foods and alcoholic beverages.
Boydens Engineering is no stranger to Sao Thai Duong, having previously worked on its headquarters. Sustainability is still a key priority and this new project will aim to achieve green certifications with implementation of solar panels on the roof, collecting reusable water such as rainwater, wastewater treatment and ice storage.
Other green considerations that will be in place include optimising the building envelope and providing realistic sizing of system power capacity, equipment, quality, and environment criteria, all while keeping in mind cost efficiency.
