Project description:

The campus was inaugurated on Friday 21 April 2017 at Plage des Nations, Sidi Bouknadel in Morroco. The campus is spread over an area of 6000 m². It includes 12 class rooms, 2 amphitheatres, 24 bubbles (study rooms for 5 people), as well as a video studio, a Knowledge Lab, an educational space, a library and two accommodation buildings consisting of 30 double rooms and 20 single rooms.

The architecture reflects the values of ESSEC, which are transparency, excellence and entrepreneurial spirit, and these values are adapted to the context of the site. The colours and the features on the elevations, the layout of central squares within the campus reflect the traditional building culture in Morocco. The orientation of the buildings and the pattern of windows and walls are adapted to a plot of land that is exposed to the sun.

The lay-out of the different buildings encourage soft connections between academia and leisure buildings while allowing future extensions of the premises.
